We have been approached by a number of nursing groups and individuals who want to explore the usability of SNOMED CT to express goals and outcomes from a nursing perspective.
1. Who has experience of using SNOMED CT for this purpose ?
2.What international resources are available to support the review and development of SNOMED CT content in this area.
3. Who would like to contribute to such work, to ensure that SNOMED CT represents international requirements ?

  1. I would be happy to be involved in this and share our experiences from the UK in terms of multidisciplinary care planning and goals/outcomes from a number of professional bodies (mainly AHPs)

  2. I will glady contribute as appropriate to this work. This is something that is very pertinent to the joint work with ICN. I am also personally committed to ensuring that nurses get the information tools they need.

  3. I would be happy to be in involved as well.

  4. I would like to be involved in this effort. Thanks....Susan

  5. I would like to be involved in this effort as well.

  6. If possible, I would  like to be involved as well.

  7. What is the latest development according the goals and outcomes? Maybe I can help.

  8. At a high level, goals and outcomes are modeled two different ways. 1) using an assertion in the form of a clinical finding such as goal or outcome is normothermia; 2) using an observation which would look like "temperature < XXX degrees Celsius". Some groups use Likert scales but they would fall into the #2 pattern. I'm not sure what the goal of this group is but am interested to know.
