We have a long-term interest in use of SNOMED CT not only in routine healthcare but also by researchers. We recently mapped some common data elements seen in registries to SNOMED CT context. Our work is published and preprint is here : https://www.researchgate.net/publication/336032864_Evaluation_of_Research_Accessibility_and_Data_Elements_of_HIV_Registries
Key table from paper is also below
Our previous work on CDEs is also here: "Use of SNOMED CT Compositional Grammar to Annotate Human Clinical Trials Data Elements (201741)"
I would be keen to hear from other teams that try to use SNOMED CT in clinical research context (data collection where data elements are annotated using SNOMED CT concepts (either directly or postcoordinated)?
There is a registry metadata initiative in Sweden. Just let me know if you want to get in contact with them.
