I have now completed the version 1.3 updates to the SNOMED CT Expression Constraint Language, as discussed at the last SLPG meeting.

Could members of the SLPG please review the updates at http://snomed.org/-ecl by Friday 9th June (i.e. in the next 3 weeks). If you would like additional time to complete the review, please contact me as soon as possible.

Please pay particular attention to the syntax changes described under 'Version 1.3' of Previous Versions, the revised brief syntax in 5.1 Brief Syntax (Normative), the new nested examples page - 6.7 Nested Expression Constraints - and the new section explaining cardinality applied to reversed attributes at the bottom of 6.3 Cardinality

THANK YOU!

    Hi!

Please note that I have updated the WIP ECL v1.3 (http://snomed.org/-ecl)  with the changes discussed at last week's meeting (including allowing any constraintOperator to precede an attribute name, and adding real concepts in the reverse cardinality example).

I have also generated a PDF for the draft ECL v1.3, and added this to the bottom of the front page (http://snomed.org/-ecl) to make it easier for those who would prefer to review a downloaded copy.

    Thanks again!

    Kind regards,
    Linda.

  2. Requirement G.1: Backward compatibility

The language must be backwardly compatible with any version of the language that has previously been adopted as an SNOMED International standard. Please note that this requirement is not applicable to this version of the Expression Constraint Language, as no previous version has been published as an SNOMED International standard.

Couldn't comment due to some macro... There are previous versions now.
