Welcome to the SNOMED CT User Support Reference Group!

SNOMED International is committed to supporting the adoption of SNOMED CT in national, regional and local implementations.

The SNOMED CT User Support Reference Group (USRG) is a community group established by SNOMED International to provide a forum at which SNOMED CT implementation topics can be discussed. This user group is designed to support

  • The consideration of implementation issues and discussion of potential solutions,
  • The sharing of implementation lessons learned and user perspectives, and
  • The advocacy of implementation best practices.

Implementation Web Series

The next Implementation Web Series will be held on Thursday 11th March 2021 at 10:00 UTC.

Title: The practical application of SNOMED CT in clinical decision support and integration with GP health records

Presenters: Jonathan Olsen (System Architect, BPAC CS), Eric Robertson (Chief Information Officer, BPAC CS), Ian Rubin (Medical Director, CARE IS)

Summary: This 90 minute implementation webinar will be presented by BPAC Clinical Solutions. BPAC's core business is providing clinical tools and systems to the primary health sector and linking eHealth systems together to help improve the patient journey. At the heart of these clinical tools are a rules engine and the APIs that provide the ability to read coded clinical data from the patient's record into the rules engine to support clinical decision making and improve efficiency. The rules engine is built using SNOMED CT as the clinical ontology of choice. This webinar will describe the architecture of these solutions, the practical application of SNOMED CT in clinical decision support and the management of the clinical information in the application interfaces.

For more information, please visit our SNOMED CT Web Series webpage (https://www.snomed.org/web-series).
