  • "The Senior Management Team (SMT) recently agreed on a proposed solution to resolve the duplication between the evaluation procedure and observable entity hierarchies. The resolution includes moving the majority of the evaluation procedures to the observable entity hierarchy while retaining the original concept id during the move." Lets Discuss!

    Hello. I'm glad we're talking about snowstorm again.

    Currently there is a REST API on the Swagger platform, especially in test mode. I would like an expert on the subject to show us how to take advantage of these REST APIs with tools like Pivot Pilot in Excel, Access, ...

    It is clear that many are in test mode, but a master class to build a local REST API would be great.

    Hi Francisco,


    The API in Swagger is the Snowstorm native API. Today, the recommendation is to use the FHIR API. There is information on that on the main snowstorm site:

    Also, there is a new version of Snowstorm, Snowstorm Lite, which is much simpler to deploy as a local API:

    Thanks Alejandro for new information about the lite version.


    Actually my problem is that my organization does not work with FHIR, it works on HL7 v.2.xx.


    I am trying to use the REST API to compare a table of data in Excel with minimal data.


    I will read this new documentation and wait for the new terminology server to be finished Ministry of Health of Spain.


    If i need help, i'll write to your support mail.
