Re: IHTSDO FP/GP SIG: IHTSDO FP/GP: 2011-02 Request for agenda itemsI was hoping to get some up to date info from the relevant sources with respect to the issue around the information model interacting with the terminology. If anyone has info on this please send it along. The other topic that has had a lot of discussion is around the functioning of the Problem List. I know that there is pressure to change the name of this to make it less negative but for the purpose of this discussion I think we could that topic alone. The difficulty seems that different users use the PL in different ways but if we are planning for machine interpretation and a computable medical record then all the players have to understand how the PL will function. The conclusion reached at the Toronto meeting was that there should be enough metadata attached to each item in the PL so that different users could make the PL function they way that they wanted it to function. Another issue with the PL is the level of granularity that different users are going to want. This were the hierarchies in SNOMED are supposed to help solve this problem. Is anyone aware of any EMRs that have PL that incorporate this functionality.rsimkusMon Feb 14 07:44:42 Z 2011post3736topc2811
Re: IHTSDO FP/GP SIG: IHTSDO FP/GP: 2011-02 Request for agenda itemsThis is partly a test after I have added Richard, Tim, Nick, Kees and Julie to the monitoring list (for this message or forever I do not know). Cannot add Jason, Erik, or Marc as they are not on the ADD list - They must not have logged to the new site. Re binding of terminology to data model. I think the RefSet should be flexible enough to bind to data items in a variety of models and as Ray said this should be covered in documentation to the RefSet.
