2 | Purpose and scope of the group | JMI + all | Purpose of group is to support the inclusion of ICNP 2019 in SNOMED CT by reviewing the gap analysis and identifying any relevant content in SNOMED CT and also proposing new content. Following this project, a small amount of NANDA content will also be reviewed for addition to SNOMED CT - NFR will identify any of similar content as the project progresses so that it is dealt with at the same time |
|
4. | Approach and general discussion | All | - Review period between now and November and then authoring work can be done in time for July 2021 release
- Issues around pre-coordinated content that does not have a match currently will need to be managed, content that may be navigational and other content on which there may need to be decisions because may not be appropriate
- Goal cannot be 100% inclusion
- Discussion about usage data but it was felt this was not helpful at this point. A better approach might be to look at how the content is being used.
- 900 diagnoses codes, of which 350 are currently not matched. 1000 interventions, of which 150 not matched. So total to be reviewed is about 500.
- Agree to create a spreadsheet on Google docs that reviewers can all share
- ICNP code and description
- SNOMED CT code and description
- Suggested new concept and new parent
- Column for reviewers
- Column for response from SNOMED International
- Look for equivalences and if not existing, potential parent for new concept.
