Dear IHTSDO Members,
The Beta release of the January 2016 SNOMED CT® International Edition is now available to IHTSDO Members only, from the MLDS distribution site.
This Beta release provides IHTSDO Member organizations an opportunity to perform a technical evaluation of the core SNOMED CT files, and to provide feedback to the IHTSDO, before the complete International Edition is distributed to Members on 31st December 2015. The public release of the International Edition to Affiliate licensees will take place on 31st January 2016. Please note that this Beta Release should not be distributed to Affiliate Licensees or any third parties before this date.
When providing feedback, please include as much detail as possible, incorporating references to, or samples of, specific instances of the issue being reported. The absence of sufficient information to allow IHTSDO to confirm the reported issue may result in no action being taken prior to the Member release. Feedback on content related issues will be assessed and prioritized by IHTSDO, and a decision will be made as to whether to address any reported content issues for the Member release or as part of a future International Edition release. Although all feedback will be carefully reviewed, there should be no expectation that any non-technical issues will be addressed prior to the distribution of the Member release. Feedback on the Beta release files will be accepted until 23:59 UTC on 16th December 2015 – although IHTSDO Members are urged to submit their findings as early as possible.
All files distributed to IHTSDO Members for the January 2016 International Edition are available from the “Beta January 2016 v0.1” version in the “SNOMED CT International Edition - IHTSDO” project, which can be found on the “IHTSDO Releases” page in MLDS, accessed here:

The SNOMED CT International Edition contains SNOMED CT files in both Release Format 2 (RF2) and Release Format 1 (RF1), separated into distinct packages. The January 2016 release is distributed in two zipped file archives:

- xSnomedCT_RF1Release_INT_20160131.zip
