Beginning May 3rd, SNOMED International will stop using GoToMeeting for its group calls and web conferences, and will transition to ZOOM Videoconferencing and Web Conferencing Service.
This new tool provides more functionality, ability to host more attendees, and better reliability for the SNOMED International community.
We have created a ZOOM confluence page with information on how to sign up, install the app, along with useful tips and tricks here.
What to do next?
The first step is for you to download and setup the application:
- Visit the ZOOM confluence page and follow the download and setup instructions.
- Review the information provided on account features and user how-to-guides to learn more about the service.
If you are host to an upcoming GoToMeeting, please contact techsupport@snomed.org so that we can ensure that you are set up correctly to ease the transition for yourself and meeting attendees.
Please note that until 3rd May, GoToMeeting will continue to work as normal.

Will there be meeting IDs like for GotoMeeting created centrally or will chairs create new for each meeting?
Also, do the meetings have a 40 min limit?

Daniel Karlsson, chairs will have the relevant account permissions to be able to run and schedule meetings with no time limits. However, we will be recommending the use of Personal Meeting ID's so that the same ID can be used for each meeting of the same group.
If you are chair of any meetings, please get in touch with techsupport@snomed.org to ensure you are set up correctly.
