As Most extensions provide include additional concepts, descriptions , and/or relationships, it is essential for those developing extensions . It is therefore important for extension producers to understand the logical design of these components. Clearly, and any extension specific aspects of component design are of particular interest to producers of extensions-specific rule related to these components.

The following subsections present logical design rules and considerations for components in an extension:

Within each of these sections, the components and their attributes are described, and examples are provided where applicable. The rules referenced below apply to the applicable release file tables and the attributes within these tables.
