The concept in focus may have:
An ambiguous FSN, such as
- Simple ambiguity, where the FSN can be interpreted in different ways
- Classification extension included in the FSN, such as OS, NOS, NEC, and other
- Ambiguity between synonyms and FSN
- A misalignment between the FSN and the logical definition

Resolving Subtypes
- if all subtypes are sufficiently defined the only thing that needs going after inactivating the supertype is to reclassify
- primitive subtypes should be manually assigned to a supertype if they can't be remodelled and made sufficiently defined
