SNOMED CT, the IHTSDO and Genomics

The IHTSDO is looking to develop further SNOMED CT to support the work of the genomics clinical community globally. To assist in this undertaking the IHTSDO would like to engage the services of a genomics expert, with an undertsanding of clinical terminology, for a fixed period of time (to be agreed) to work on the project. The project will look to develop a strategy for SNOMED CT to ensure that it can support the work genomics clinicians, and to develop an approach to link data within EHR’s to work being undertaken globally on expanding the genomics knowledge base. As part of this work we are also looking to specify how best to engage with genomics clinicians and the genomics community going forwards. The role will be reimbursed at the market rate depending on the skills and background of the individual. For further details on the role, or for an informal discussion please contact Ian Green.
