ABSTRACT:
This will be a demonstration of the use of an advanced technique for analyzing data with SNOMED-CT based on it's internal logic model. Unlike ICD and other commonly used terminologies, SNOMED-CT is based on formal logic and is a sub type of OWL (Web Ontology Language).
In this demo we will use the relationships/roles that link SNOMED domains such as "finding site", "associated morphology" and "causative agent" to define cohorts of patients in a large clinical repository (simulated) to answer a complex clinical problem for which there is no guidance in the literature.
