SNOMED CT US Extension(R): September 2018 Release
Introduction
SNOMED CT US Edition is a combination of the July 2017 SNOMED CT International Release and the US Extension to SNOMED CT. The US Edition eliminates the need for implementers to manually combine the US Extension and the International Release. It is recommended that users download the US Edition rather than the US Extension of SNOMED CT.
File description
The SNOMED CT US Extension is provided in UTF-8 encoded tab-delimited flat files which can be imported into any database or other software application. SNOMED CT is not software.
The SNOMED CT files are designed as relational tables with each line in the file representing a row in the table. The first row of each table contains column headings. All other rows contain data.
More information on the US Edition of SNOMED CT is available at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/umls/Snomed/us_edition.html
