 Welcome

• Set the scene - why we need the group, how it could work, benefits of having such a group

• Are the terms of reference acceptable ?, Who should chair the group going forwards ?, the group should be a member community and therefore would be more suitably led by members rather than SNOMED International

Ways of working and terms of reference

• Review of draft terms of reference

• Discussion on the proposed terms of reference (are they fit for purpose ?)

Historial perspective

• Review of the history of translation within the SNOMED International community

• Introduction to the translation documents that SNOMED international have in place

• All documents were written a number of years ago, and should be reviewed based on current experience of members

• How should the review process be organised (who, how long is required ?)

• Discussion on approaches to translation (reference to the possible use of crowd sourcing as a method of translation and translation quality assurance)
