The SNOMED CT Expression Constraint Language enables the intensional definition of a bounded set of clinical meanings. This is important for a number of use cases, including:
- Terminology binding;
- Intensional reference set definitions;
- SNOMED CT content queries; and
- SNOMED CT concept model specifications.
