Summary
SNOMED International has developed documentation on the requirements for individuals external to SNOMED International to author content directly into the SNOMED CT International Release. This document is now available for review and comments from CMAG members are being requested.

USA | 15SEP2021 | The new policy seems fairly reasonable to me. The educational requirements seem in par with that from SNOMED International content editors, but this could be made explicit. It is a good idea to formalize this policy as it contributes to the broader effort to increase the quality of SNOMED CT content. It can also be used as guidance to member countries for educational requirements for authoring content in national extensions. |
