3Discussion Phase 1 dataset for migration trial57 min
  • Followup on issues from last meeting:
    • Discussion of 'free' and 'total' substances for lab test definitions - response from Farzaneh
  • Review and discussion of issues from removal of Orderables and population of defining relationships to build test import of 1436 Procedures concepts implemented as lab test results in UK
  • Test build in OWL for evaluation and testing

2021-07-21:

  • Free, bound, and total was discussed. James R. Campbell  will contact Farzaneh and Jim Case about progress of this topic. This is a related (but not exactly the same) discussion: Free, bound, and Total substances
  • Non-specific terms like "assay" and "test". Sarah Harry will look up examples.
  • Ratios
    • Fraction (property) is not a kind of Ration (property). This should be fixed. Daniel Karlsson will report.

2021-08-04:

  • Nashar Karim made the observation that all "measurements" might not be quantity concentrations.
  • "Measurement" concepts with enzymes should modeled using Quantity concentration
  • "Detection", likely ambiguous, to be moved to Phase 2.
  • "Assay" synonymous to "Measurement".
  • "Titers" also moved to Phase 2.
  • Intracellular also moved to Phase 2. The part-whole relationship between the Observables attributes needs clarification. Will be put on the agenda
  • 313771003 | Measurement of weight of calculus (procedure) | use Property = Mass.
  • Nucleic acid measurements, typically specific NAs are referred to in lab tests. Jim Case the concepts in SNOMED CT are very old and should likely be replaced. Also, to be added as a topic for Observables PG discussion.
  • Electrolytes - use when appropriate when the electrolyte is the form that exists in the patient.
  • "Oral fluid" - there is no substance concept corresponding to oral fluid (and likely there shouldn't be any). Represent with | Inheres in | = | Liquid substance |, | Inherent location | = | Oral cavity |.
