Abstract

This tutorial provides an opportunity to get a practical taste of SNOMED CT authoring. Participants a hands-on introduction to authoring using SNOMED International's training version of the Managed Service Authoring Platform. Led by an experienced SNOMED CT author, participants will be guided through a series of authoring activities using a training version of SNOMED International’s Managed Service authoring platform.

Objectives

After completing this tutorial, participants should be able to use SNOMED International’s Managed Service authoring platform to:

• Create a new concept
• Perform simple concept changesSearch for SNOMED CT concepts
• Find the stated, inferred and authoring form of a concept
• Create a new concept
• Perform simple concept changes
• Classify SNOMED CT
