This is a landing page to explain what this project is about. Most of the specific information about the group is kept in another Confluence space: Drug Model - Directory.  

The Drug Project has both a Project Group (PG) and a Working Group . The Project Group has (WG). Both are closed groups. The PG has formal meetings to put Member comments forward, and the Working Group WG meets weekly to work through the model. 

Purpose

The purpose of the Drug Project Group is to contribute to and help progress specific deliverables within the Drug Project. The Drug Project aims to develop and document a concept model for drug content, to be shared with Members to support the development of national drug extensions aligned to the SNOMED CT International Release.

Scope

The scope of the project Drug Project is to"

1. Provide a new model for International Drugs and update content accordingly.

2. Provide a new model for the National Extension.
3. Write SNOMED CT Editorial Guidelines on the drug model.

Meetings

The WG meets weekly. See Meeting Information - Drug Model. Observers cannot be accommodated

Face to Face Meetings

The Drug Project Group PG will meet during the SNOMED International Business Meeting in London in April.
