The SNOMED CT to ICNP Interventions Production edition is provided in RF2 format, and is delivered to IHTSDO Member National Centers and authorized Affiliate Licensees via Internet download. This edition is dependent upon the SNOMED CT January 2016 International Edition, and so should be consumed and analysed accordingly. It should be noted that despite it utilising the current SimpleMap format, this is a bidirectional map, as per the statement from Nicholas Hardiker, the Associate Head (Research & Innovation) of the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work & Social Sciences: "...it is important to stress that it would be incorrect to imply that the mappings themselves go from ICNP to SNOMED CT. In terms of process, we have considered a subset of ICNP to be the source and SNOMED CT to be the target, but this in no way implies a particular direction of mapping i.e. the concepts are equivalent, 1:1, bidirectional..." The SNOMED CT files are designed as relational tables with each line in the file representing a row in the table. The first row of each table contains column headings. All other rows contain data.
