Summary
Within the Social context hierarchy is the sub-hierarchy of Occupation (occupation). There are approximately 240 concepts within that hierarchy that represent the meaning "other" occupation e.g. 89159002 |Other electric lineman/cable jointer (occupation)|,23607005 |Other cooks (occupation)|. These concepts are classification constructs, not suitable for inclusion in a terminology. The plan is to inactivate these concepts. SE | 2020-03-02 | Not in use in Sweden. We have in our 2020 plans to review the occupation concepts for usability in a national standard reference set, so any pre-cleaning is very much welcome. |
UK | 02/03/2020 | There are probably around a dozen with low'ish usage stats showing in the UK (low hundreds), but as they generally look to have non-'other' equivalents, this shouldn't impact us significantly. |
DK | 2020-03-02 | Not in use in DK. |
US | 02MAR2020 | Dubious semantic value in the absence of a definition. No evidence of use in value sets from the Value Set Authority Center. |
NO | 2020-03-03 | Not in use in Norway. Agree that clean-up is welcome |
NZ | 2020-03-10 | Not in use to our knowledge and comfortable with them being inactivated |
CA | 2020-03-11 | Not in use to our knowledge and comfortable with them being inactivated |
AR | 2020-03-14 | Not in use in Argentine |
BE | 2020-09-18 | Not in use to our knowledge. |
AU | 2020-03-16 | Not in use in Australia. Support removing these classification constructs. Our recommendation for users is to use/create a specific concept, or use the "non-specific" parent concept. |
